Everybody beware, here comes Reign In Blood from nineties. Already the first song starts with furious drumming of a new band member Paul Bostaph (ex-Forbidden), in a few seconds guitars of Jeff and Kerry add in and the bass of Tom, which starts screaming with his pissed voice his truth into listeners' ears. And the truth is merciless again – it's again about the things that upset all the people - “psychological” profile of serial killer Jeffry Dahmer (Dittorhead) or wars in Killing Fields, or song 213 talking about madman's dreams.
Again and again – as for music and for expression Slayer surprises again with clearness of instruments, expressive guitar riffs of both guitar masters and drums tornado played by drummer Paul.
In the time, when the CD was released, Slayer openly admitted, that their worshiping of devil and with it connected satanic rituals were only instruments to evoke fear, so that fans would believe them, that they are really so evil. The hardcore fans were shocked, because they believed them so much, but we other fans, who admired Slayer (and admire) because of the music, weren't touched in any way.
Simply – it was about commerce, increasing attendance (and with it also increasing of album, tickets, t-shirts sales, etc.) and second it was about some stylizing and revenge on something, that nobody can affect (I mean wars, diseases, etc.).
