Already second album in chronology of layout Cales, where either authorially, or interpretantly, was concerned just Petr "Blackosh" Hošek, appeared in the fall of last year under the name "KRF". But compared to the last album an extreme change occured. While  "Savage Blood" was purely orchestrational matter, "KRF"  is now full of vocal variations,  because here you can hear singing, shouting and also bawling. And this everythink is work of  Blackosh and in some compositions he doesn´t manipulate with his voice  bad.

That, what happens at the album, as regards music, could be more or less expected, because the preference of celtic,or even Viking mythology is well famous  by Blackosh. Besides certain estimation of these influences you can recognize also at already mentioned „Savage Blood". But at album  "KRF" everything is conditioned to this; either music, or of course also texts. Considering the fact, that for Blackosh it is much personal, he got free of influences of other projects, on which he took part by now, in order to infix as much of his Ego as possible into this album, and it is much visible at the result, which is very good, for me personally.

If I would designate  Cales at new album as pure folk metal, it would be quite misleading, because Blackosh is doing that his own way somehow. That´s why you won´t hear that typical, rather death metal sound of northern bands, but let´s say rocky rugged stoner and raw sound, which passes to this unbelievably perfectly, e.g. as in the introductory song "Barbarian Paganus", where I am definitely fascinated by this sound. From the point of view of folk metal audience  will be for sure "Savage Blood". It´s lusty spirit, easiness and elevation remained in my head so much, that I for a while was imagining, how I am hoofing wildly  around overheated fireplace, holding taurine horn full of mead, alongside beautiful celtic wild girl. But after several repetitional listenings I was completely fascinated  by the whole album.

Although Blackosh isn´t  any guitar exhibitionist or virtuos,  I have to cap to his composer  craft deeply. Apparently more simple guitar parts have their extraordinary  atmosphere and depth. Exactly her e it´s  truth, that why to do anything intricately, if it can be done simply and magnificently at the same time. I would say, that Blyckosh did not insert just part of Himself into the composing, but he directly soaked into that completely. This should be tried time to time by each composer. To differ a bit "KRF" from other folkmetal albums, I have to mention two things, by which I got observing a little. E.G. in composition "Song of Outlaws" there is one tirade, which commemorated me of Metallica atmosphere, to be more concrete, by the song "For Whom The Bell Tolls".  Next interesting moment is to be found in "Legacy of Honour", where rather gloomy even doommetal meditation turns into some kind of hard country music.

A lot could be written about this well-done album, but I do not want to already, because I must listen to this ones more, this time without the need of using the reviewal meter, in order to enjoy it even better. The quality of this enterprise will be of course best examined by time, but now I can say, that "KRF" appears to me by the best thing, what I have heard from Cales, or let´s say, from Petr "Blackosh" Hošek.
