So I got into my hands the CD Animal Hate – Bells Of Acheron. I know that it's a lot of good bands in our country so I was curious at this work.

The booklet didn't give me any clue about what music should I expect so I pushed the cake into the player eagerly and waited. For the start the melodic part and regrettably the very much distorted voice. I prefer the classical conception of the vocals (what you can do, you can do, but without the help of the smart machines) that follow later on the CD. It's superb how Animal Hate used the alternation of death metal vocals with black metal ones. Also their music I'd classify like death with the blend of black metal. But in case anyone is of another opinion I wouldn't argue. It's hard today to label any band with any style. As we all know, nobody has till now written any encyclopedia describing the division of the music styles that would moreover include all today's offshoots that developed.

And so we moved to the lyrics from Luboš “Louis” Martinec that are really great and manage to tell something. It's evident that the author did know what he was writing about and didn't write just any cliché that would just supplement to the music. I personally value the lyrics of the bands very much and I think that bad lyrics can spoil the whole impression of the band. But it's not the case with Animal Hate where the lyrics (at least in my eyes) took up the band and won my admiration.

Well and in conclusion I kept the music of Animal Hate. It is really a well played death metal in which creeps the black metal with clear spontaneousness and doesn't disturb the overall impression from listening in any way. I'd just reprehend to the CD Bells Of Acheron that between the separate tracks the band inserted every time some prelude, or some intro, which divides the whole CD. The songs impact like one symmetric body and like complex that is just disintegrated through these beginnings of the songs. I don't know if it's intentional or not but perhaps it was meant to be so. Except this the songs reflect that the guys from Animal Hate are good musicians and have a clear idea about in which direction they want to go.
